Welcome!

Observing Sea turtles in Grenada or Lowland tapirs in Kabalebo (Suriname)
This is my personal site and blog where I share my passion: Nature. I have the privilege to work and live in the interior of Kabalebo, a remote place situated in the South-West part of Suriname. During my off days I often try to explore other places as there is so much to see, observe and photograph.

The best thing about NATURE is that you never experience a dull moment, never know what to expect. Whether seeing the smallest hummingbird you ever seen in your life or being 'surrounded' by a group of Red Howler Monkeys.... not a day is the same here.
Over the past years I even managed to build these extraordinary friendships with Ocelots (since 2013) and Macaws.

Usually I am armed with a camera ready to 'shoot' anything that flies or walks by. One of the first birds that I 'captured' was the Bobolink. Little did I know back then that it was also one of the few pictures taken in Suriname of this bird

It didn't stop with the photography, I started to enjoy observing the fauna world too. Not only birds but also bigger games. With the help of my assistants, the trophy cams, it was made possible.
