Getting close with nature; meeting Brown Capuchin Monkeys.
When I was heading towards the River Cabin in my spare time, my peaceful quiet time was interrupted by a sudden noise nearby. The Inga tree near the River Cabin was blossoming and had enough fruit to feed both monkeys and birds. At that moment there was a group of Brown Capuchin Monkeys trying to fill their tiny stomach.
As I am working in the middle of nowhere of the rainforest in Suriname, I am somehow also part of the whole environment. Wildlife doesn't feel threatened by my presence so I have the great opportunity to take pictures up close and personal.
This Brown Capuchin Monkey was so occupied with his Inga fruit that he did not notice my presence at all.
For a couple of minutes I was able to shoot some close up pictures while he was eating.
