When there is free food in abundance, you just grab what you like to eat.
A group of Common Squirrel Monkeys were seen passing by near the lodge. Easy to spot them as they are in a group of loud monkeys. Sometimes they quarrel but that doesn't last very long. It also happens that on their passage a Maripa palm was bearing ripe nuts. So no need to tell them twice that there is free food and enough for the entire family.
Here you can see a part of the family, taking what their small hands can carry. As you can see, they know exactly which one of the nuts are ripe to eat.
This one was waiting until rush hour was over and decided to eat in peace. As you can see, even after the whole family of Squirrel Monkeys had taken care of their hunger, the Maripa palm still bear enough for the next family. When there is food in abundance, they can surely take care of themselves.
