Once again a close encounter with a Red-tailed Boa.
The Red-tailed Boa is also considered a resident of Kabalebo. But one that never tells you where you might find him/her. Most of the time our meet-and-greet consist out of coincidence. Like on this occasion too.
This Red-tailed Boa was spotted in a mango tree. Since we also have people nearby who are not fond of snakes, I had to make sure that this little fellow was removed from the area.
It was not quite happy with our decision but luckily it was not aggressive at all either.
After removing this little Boa from the mango tree with a stick, we had to decide quickly where to release it without any harm. The transportation was a bit challenging as this little fellow was all muscle so also a bit heavy.
We released it across the airstrip inside the dense bushes, but before we said goodbye to our friend, we took some pictures of this wonderful little snake.
It won't be long until we meet again. The question remains: Where and when shall we meet?
