On April 20, 2016, the Bicoloured Hawk had an early breakfast in Kabalebo.
From time to time, the Bicoloured Hawk shows up near the lodge to 'kill' its hunger. As it is a secretive bird too, it won't announce its presence to anyone, in particular not to its potential prey.
Most of the time, it tries its luck right before nightfall. That is usually the best period for him as the tanagers or martins are getting ready for their good-night sleep. This brings them all in a vulnerable position.
But on April 20, 2016, the Bicoloured Hawk decided to change its tactics: from the afternoon to the early morning. A plan that resulted in an early breakfast. Bon appétit!
