Meet another visitor of Kabalebo: the Collared Plover.
This is not the first time that I spotted the Collared Plover (Charadruis collaris) in Kabalebo. But, it is the first picture that I took from them. Sometimes luck or coincidence has to be by your side, otherwise we could both miss the 'meet & greet'.
The Collared Plover is actually a solitary bird, but when I took the picture I spotted an adult and an immature on the airstrip. I had to zoom in with my camera from a safe distance as these birds were pretty alert. One sudden suspicious movement and they run rapidly further away.
Both of them were also at the same time quiet and they also used their background as their camouflage. These Collared Plovers didn't stay long.
