Whenever there is movement to be spotted in the trees (or anywhere else), I always rush to see what kind of commotion there is to experience.
Common Squirrel Monkeys are always in a hurry and they never like to stay still in the trees. So every time, whenever I like to try to take a picture of them, in action, it is like struggling with my own battle; aim and try to shoot. Not always will I succeed, but there are few times that I am lucky.
I have always seen the Common Squirrel Monkeys in trees. Hopping and jumping from one tree to the other, always checking those beneath them and move on. So imagine how surprised I was after checking one of the trap cam video's. It appears that one Squirrel Monkey was seen on the ground enjoying some fallen maripa nuts.
This video was taken in 2012, it was the year when I just started to experience with trap cams on different hiking trails in Kabalebo.
