When it is too hot to handle ......
During dry season it is a bit of a challenge to keep ourselves cool. Waterfalls and rapids are the ultimate solution to keep our heads cool. But we are not the only ones with the same idea.
Spectacled Caimans are frequent visitors of waterfalls and rapids. Lying motionless nearby enjoying the cool breeze.
Even Lowland tapirs like to chill a bit in the cool water. Most the time you won't even notice them as they are one with their surroundings.
And always watch your step when going to a rapid as Smooth-fronted Caimans like to rest onshore with only their heads visible. But don't worry, they will quietly glide into the water and just 'disappear'.
As they are just focused only staying cool during the dry and hot season.
