Living in plain sight
Sometimes wildlife is just sitting in plain sight looking at you.
These Blue-and-Yellow Macaws were spotted on one of the hiking trails. It was during the afternoon and they were pretty quiet but because they were eating the podosiri berries they announced their presence. They are quiet eaters but when they drop the leftovers they unintentionally let their presence know.
Same goes for the Capuchin monkeys. They move around silently but when eating they are a bit sloppy and it is up to you to spot where they are.
One that gives you a pretty hard time to spot them and let you put in some effort is the Green Iguana. They are silent movers and most of the time they are sitting still in between all the green bushes. Only when they feel threatened they jump into the river and swim away but most of the time they sit still, just like picture seen above, and let you do all the sighting work.
