Here you can see how a young male Crimson Topaz will change into a mesmerizing young adult. Enjoy reading. On March 21, 2016 I noticed some traffic on the Monkey brush vine of the River Cabin. I decided to have a closer look and see what all the commotion was all about. Upon arriving on the beach of the River Cabin I first noticed this female Crimson Topaz, she was present and visible for most of the time, even when the sun was at its highest point she never left. She was protecting the branch and at the same time was taking care of someone. In the area I also noticed a full grown male Crimson Topaz. He was also visible present and was showing off his brightful colors to the outside world. I also noticed that neither the female or the male felt disturbed by my presence. But they were not alone, a young male Crimson Topaz was also seen on this particular branch. As you can clearly see it was changing colors: from juvenile into a young adult. Notice the visible change from green into red and his throat also started to shine a bit too. He also wasn't threatened by my presence and for several days I was enjoying their company too. After I took this picture of the juvenile Crimson Topaz I immediately went to look for another picture I took several years before. What a coincidence. Look at the resemblance and also at the same time the change. It was like looking into your future self. In a couple of weeks the young Crimson Topaz will follow into his father footsteps too.
