Since 2012 I have been using trophy cams to help me observe the wild in Kabalebo. Today we are checking the cam from the pier.
Lowland tapirs have been spotted quite often at different places in Kabalebo. Whether close to the lodge, on the river or during jungle walks, they never disappoint.
Even though they are a huge appearance, they manage to travel silently through the vegetation.
Since they are spotted close to the dense vegetation I decided to set out a trophy cam near the pier out of eye sight on a possible tapir trail. In the video below you can see how one is quietly moving through the bushes.
