Spotje, the second cub of Lotje, is a young adult now. Occasionally she still comes by to the feeder. Here we are looking back at her ongoing progress. The first time that I saw Spotje appearing right in front of the feeder was on October 29, 2014. A small cub who was already very anxious to enjoy the extra treat almost every night. She was a very enthusiastic one too as the video's revealed that she sometimes goes to the feeder without her mothers' presence. Around april 2015 she started to come by frequently without Lotje. Often waiting in the trees before we set the food on the table for her. A playful one too as she was sometimes teasing her mother too. Right after the birth of Junior, Spotje became an independent young ocelot and started to walk by herself. Sometimes she travelled miles before arriving at the feeder. As she was still discovering new places and (new skills) she didn't had a regular schedule for visiting the feeder. Here you see Spotje, once again in a tree, just over a year old. Since Lotje is guiding Junior, Spotje isn't welcome anymore near her mother. She is often chased away, this explains why she is patiently waiting in the trees to wait until the coast is clear. I guess within a couple of weeks/months she also will find her own territory, just like her older sister Katja.
